Definitely some scammers and flakes. I posted in the WTB and someone wanted me to cash app them $35 in gas today for meeting next Sunday and they live in the same city! It was a junior member that just made their profile this morning.

It's a free service, looks like you don't donate to CG yet you here to complain about it? Then don't use the MP or CG in general. Make your own forum where you dictate the policies which you despise. About the scammers, you can spot them from a mile away, that's not CG's fault, they're everywhere.

Well, I've used the Market Place many times for both guns and parts and accessories with great success---very little flakes encountered, in fact virtually all the people I dealt with were honest and upstanding who seemed truly enthusiastic to be buying or selling!
As for pictures---I have so many items I'm selling, putting pictures up for all of them is NOT practical---but I WILL send pictures to your cell phone upon request!
As far as shipping is concerned, I will ship everything except firearms---those I sell direct to customer (FTF) going thru a FFL---anything else gets complicated and comes with fees and boxes and shipping (not always easy)... Nobody I've dealt with has objected to this...
I value the Market Place and find it to be a desirable feature of Calguns!

I find deals all the time and also sell off stuff I have bought and wasn't my cup of tea or upgraded. I've purchased firearms thinking it was a great purchase only to find it wasn't what I wanted. Great market and have met some good Calgunners along the way. There's always going to be window shoppers, flakes and scammers in any classifieds, but I don't run into too many issues for the most part.

Nothing but good experiences for me using the marketplace. It's a very valuable feature, IMO.
