Del Mar Gun show Price Check

Anybody know what a case of Federal 22lr went for?

Trying to decide if it's worth making the trip tomorrow.

I wasn't looking hard, but I did glance and I don't recall seeing any Fed 22lr (sadly). I'd actually be surprised if there was any left tomorrow of anything one could consider "cheap" based on the insane crowd there today.

That was one of the biggest crowds I have ever seen at a gun show. I was floored at how many people were there. The line to get in when I got there @ 10:15 was wrapped all the way around the parking lot to Jimmy Durante blvd. Couldn't get anywhere near the ammo guys.

Nobody out there bought a case of 22lr? It doesnt need to be federal. Just want to know if I should continue the hit and miss at wally world, or go to the show.

As far as there not being any left by tomorrow, I would think that the big vendors would hold back some of each caliber to offer up for the sunday crowd, if for no other reason than to encourage customers to come on the second day. Who knows.

Was there early with a friend and he got some Federal .22 500rd packs in the blue box. He got 6 boxes, not sure how many come in a case, but they were 25 and change a piece. I'm not sure what the difference is between the blue bulk and red bulk that's available from walmart is. They had pmc .223 cases on special for 369 though which wasn't too bad.

            I saw a guy pick up 500/$29 (.22). I got 9mm 50/$12. Too much but it's in my hands now. It's exactly 2X what I paid last year for 9mm. Saw .223 for 500/$179.
Heed the man with only one rifle, for he knows how to use it.

I didn't see any Federal .22 at all dude. With the way the ammo is looking right now, it aint worth it. If you want, PM me and include your phone number and I will work on hunting some down for you. It will save you a trip, just pay me back when you pick up

At the Miwall booth, the only American 22lr they had was CCI Minimag. Since I was looking for some cheaper stuff, I didn't notice the price.

However, I notice that Miwall significantly increased their prices since the last show in Del Mar (despite what I thought was a recent decrease in demand). It really hurt to pay the higher prices, but it was cheaper than most of the local gun shops in San Diego.

Yeah, they are asking $17.95/50 for their .45 reloads, that's $2 higher than the price for brand new BB at Walmart! And they were sold out.

UPDATE: Forgot to mention that someone had a 7.62x39 16" Saiga for $799! Yes. At least Cold War Shooter was asking the normal $399 for the same gun.

I'm fairly sure that if they didn't jack up their prices, the Wal-Mart ammo "reseller" guys would've been reselling Miwall ammo for a change.

...actually, maybe they will be anyway.
