Any one been able to set up a UPS firearm shipping account?

Sept 22, I found out that you can no longer ship firearms with UPS unless you have an account for that.

That day I contacted them to set the account up, I was told that I would receive a call back within 24-48 hours. Never got a call.

Today is my fourth time calling to try to get the account set up, and once again I'm told I'm so sorry for you not getting the call back, but you will this time.

Has any one been able to set the account up?

Do you have a FFL ?
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.

      Since July 2022...

You must have a valid (Type 01, 02, 07, or 08) FFL, in order to set up a firearm dealer account with UPS, in order to utilize them to ship firearms.
      ^Also applies to FedEx.

Well first of all, its never gotten to a point for them to find out or ask if I have an FFL. Im not asking if I can get one, what im asking is is anyine else getting this type of run around.
I haven't been denied, just 4 times saying ill get a call within 24-48 hours only to get nothing. No one has asked a single question about qualifying for the account.

        From UPS site.

UPS accepts packages containing Firearm Products for shipment only as a contractual service and only from Shippers who are licensed importers, licensed manufacturers, licensed dealers, or licensed collectors (as defined in Title 18, Chapter 44 of the United States Code) to authorized recipients, as outlined in the approved UPS agreement for the transportation of Firearm Products.

licensed as a collector with my C&R which states on it "Title 18, Chapter 44 of the United States Code"

So per their site, to me it looks like I can set one up.

But like I said I wasn't asking if I was eligible to get one, I've never made it far enough to be rejected. im asking if others have had the same run around.

            Try shipmygun.com.

And let us know how it goes.

Well for those who have a C&R, I called back again on Friday. The girl stated she would expedite my issue. within an hour I received and email with a Docu sign document I signed it and it asked me to attach my FFL. I attached my 03 FFL, on Monday I received the Docu sign back saying all parties had signed it. UPS did fill out their portion.

I still do not see a separate account in my UPS profile for shipping firearms/parts ( I was told their would be one) so now I'm waiting to hear back I guess . Ill call tomorrow to follow up.

                My suggestion:

                F UPS - boycott them.

And every other company that seeks to restrict our second amendment rights.

                Before it's too late.

                    Long guns are explicitly accepted.
Handguns will arrive at their destination also.
I would refrain from shipping ammo via the postal service however.

So if you don't ship ammo with USPS and you won't use UPS or Fedex either, who are you shipping ammo with?

Not sure, haven't needed to purchase ammo online recently.

Now that UPS is insisting upon the use of three condoms, and is likely to opt out whenever the mood strikes, they are simply not a prudent choice in any case.

There must be a smaller carrier willing to take the reins of this wagon.

I'll hand the ammo shipping question ... back to you.

                          That's a no brainer.
UPS is the way to go as evidenced by all the ammo shipments that I have received or sent.

And when (not if) UPS/FEDX decide to decline 2a related business entirely?

Perhaps the time to stoke a smaller competing carrier is upon us.

Too much money at stake for them.
