Will extra power AK recoil springs damage my front trunnions ?

Have you considered a KNS adjustable gas piston instead? Bleeding off some of that gas might be a better solution to your problem. -
After owning AK's in 30 cal and 545 for years and shoving lots of ammo thru them I never saw any reason to monkey with recoil springs or swapping them out for more powerful springs.
Granted that AK's do seem gassy, but IMO they really need to be for reliability sake. Stripping steel cased ammo out of the mags requires power.
If the spring gets worn out then swap it for oem and leave the uber power stuff for tinkering purposes. Trust the design. Any properly built semi auto AK should last you a lifetime.
*they run better when properly lubed.Comment
