Recently moved back to SD and am looking for a FFL, preferably one of the out of home types or maybe a small (good customer service) gun shop?

Let’s reverse question: any FFLs/shops to avoid? And what are the good ranges? I’ve been to DGM in Santee once to shoot shotgun. Overall positive experience, except it was super cramped when shooting. Think I’m going to check out P2K next

I have used this guy for several transactions. He has good rates. Nice guy. The only downside is being a FFL is his second job and he is not always available, but he has been available in the evenings.

I live up in Orange County, but I've used SoCal Guns in Kearney Mesa several times. Great shop, quick PPT, nice people.

P2k is my go to. Nice shop and you can shoot pretty much anything (no green tip) DGM is ok, but it can be a little claustrophobic. Gusslers is another go to for all deliveries and night sight installation.

+1 for West Coast Survival Arms. You have to get an appointment which means no waiting around. You're in and out and Mike is awesome.

Gussler's in Santee is also good, but no appointments, so you might have to stand around his driveway. Both are great.

Another vote for Michael at West Coast Survival Arms - my go-to FFL.
Also, my one experience with Gussler's was excellent as well.
