Don't know if it is a slow down in demand or an increase in production. I'm seeing more ammo for sale, slightly decreased prices in some instances but still a restriction on some sites on the amount of ammo one person can buy at one time.

I check the ammo websites. 2 month ago, an online vendor was selling 1k PMC .223 for 409. It usually sold out fast, but the vendor has been steadily dropping the price since it's not moving, it's now at 359 a case.

I don't foresee 1k of 7.62x39 Wolf MC going back to 199 prior to November '08 for another 6 months or more.

No slowdown in demand. Supply is still low for handgun calibers. I see rifle cart. all over the place. One of the most outragous prices I have seen was yesterday.

I'm starting to see prices come down to close to what they were before the craze on the more popular calibers at all the online sellers. They seem to have more in as well, with regards to selection.

However, there are still huge gaps in inventory on the less popular calibers. Some of the less popular calibers are basically still nonexistent.

I think things are getting better, but I don't think they are going to be back to normal for awhile, at a guess.

Yet the only gun I have that I can reliably find ammo for is my Mosin-Nagant, and even then a little bit of searching is needed to find non-magnetic ball ammo.

I have been trying to find non-magnetic ball for my new AK (pick it up on the 21st), but so far havn't found crap. Only stuff I ever find in stock is bimetal (not gonna pass the magnet test).

And .45 ACP? Not happening.

I suppose things are getting back as backorders seem to be down to 3-5 week from 7-10 weeks....
