It's not enough that humans gave robots a place to congregate to plan our demise, now we've adapted them with the ability to extract fuel from the very nectar of life. All that innocent experimentation with fuel cells that run on blood has led to this, a flesh-eating clock. This prototype time-piece from UK-based designers James Auger and Jimmy Loizeau traps insects on flypaper stretched across its roller system before depositing them into a vat of bacteria. The ensuing chemical reaction, or "digestion," is transformed into power that keeps the rollers rollin' and the LCD clock ablaze. The pair offers an alternative design fueled by mice, another contraption whose robotic arm plucks insect-fuel from spider webs with the help of a video camera, and a lamp powered by insects lured to their deaths with ultraviolet LEDs. Man, this is so wrong it has to be right.[Via Hack a Day, thanks Isaac]

Hahaha...you mean Johnny 5? I'd want the solid gold version with the laser canon.

Oh and by the way, here is the real Skynet. It didn't start in the States. It started in Europe.

I heard about this on the news last year. They successfully did a demo where they placed on Symbrion Replicator on a table filled with the parts for other SR's. One built another and that built another...so on and so forth.

And they are built to be intelligent and to evolve.

And I wanted to watch the real terminators show, unfortunitly I couldn't. But from the previews everything they were showing was still either on the drawing board, or not a production model. So I think we have some time to prepare :-)
Now you know we live in CA hence you must reword it to "Water Ballon EMP"

there's plenty of ways to destroy robots. all conventional warfare techniques would still likely work. think about it... all those delicate electronics and all those fragile joints and all the maintenance any machine needs. super easy foe.

So is it easier to kill a robot than a zombie..?
What about the flying drones..that nuke from miles up..
Zombies are in your in face..

do we always nuke flying objects??? there's plenty of conventional weaponry for aircraft.

If the robots attack, my bug out bag will hold a pair of wool socks and a shag carpet remnant.
