My favorite LGS runs a booth at the Lancaster show twice a year. I hope this does not affect them negatively. My church’s gun club will make the show in November an official event to attend.

Just another daily/weekly/monthly infringement on our civil rights and our way of life by Commies, tyrants and evil people. They're emboldened and will never stop in disarming civilians because they are not held accountable in doing so. So why would they stop?

Why not simply set up and contract at a private venue that is gun show favorable?

Plenty of private venues now days that can meet the need, even with zoning law and insurance consideration.

The rationale for the cancellation of the gun show is SB915. I do not know if the Lancaster or the Victorville fair grounds are state property.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 27573 is added to the Penal Code, to read:

27573. (a) A state officer or employee, or operator, lessee, or licensee of any state property, shall not contract for, authorize, or allow the sale of any firearm, firearm precursor part, or ammunition on state property or in the buildings that sit on state property or property otherwise owned, leased, occupied, or operated by the state.
(b) This section does not apply to any of the following:
(1) A gun buyback event held by a law enforcement agency.
(2) The sale of a firearm by a public administrator, public conservator, or public guardian within the course of their duties.
(3) The sale of a firearm, firearm precursor part, or ammunition on state property that occurs pursuant to a contract that was entered into before January 1, 2023.
(4) The purchase of firearms, firearm precursor parts, or ammunition on state property by a law enforcement agency in the course of its regular duties.
(5) The sale or purchase of a firearm pursuant to subdivision (b) or (c) of Section 10334 of the Public Contract Code.

Haven't gone to a gun show since LA County banned the Pomona fairgrounds shows in 1999. LA county paid 1.6 million dollars to settle lawsuit brought be the Great Western Shows.

I bought place in Lake Hughes and that is close for me when show is on and I am up there. Not much of a gun show but it is better than nothing. Close to couple of my hunting spots.
