i have bought a beowulf about a year ago and still have not shot a single round through it. seems that ammo for it is extremely hard to find. Although i heard good and bad things about this upper i still like the idea of have a .50 in hand but the problems with the ammo is a big one. Alexander arms should loosen his grip on his ammo patent or it may seem to be the killer of beowulf altogether it can be its undoing. i called them and i also read blogs about the problem but still seems far from any conclusions. Maybe i should think about trading it or selling it and look for a rifle that ammo IS available for. just my thoughts

Keep checking riverofguns.com and gunbroker. If you can find some brass, start reloading it. I managed to locate a 100 pack of brass shortly after I bought my upper a few months ago and have fired it about 400 times so far.Mo' BBs.Comment

If you haven't already go here and buy a set of dies and the function guage. The guage is a must for this caliber IMO.
Get some brass on order. I just received an order from Alexander Arms the middle of last month, I place the order the end of Feb. I've only been firing reloads and have pretty much given up on factory ammo.
Don't give up until you shoot it at least, the Wulf is alot of fun.Last edited by spareparts; 07-14-2009, 1:13 PM.Comment

Don't bother with the Lee dies, they're out of spec. Get some CH4D dies instead.Mo' BBs.Comment
