    Paranoid re: sending company name

Am I being too paranoid having my packages delivered with obvious gun-related names as the sender?

I like it when company such as Grab A Gun abbreviates their name in the return address as "GAG", Cajun Gun Works as "CGW", etc. I get nervous when a package that passes through several hands during shipping says "Buy Gun Stuff" or "DR Gun Supply".

I know many offer additional shipping insurance, but it's an unnecessary risk advertising what is inside the package. Mind you, these are not firearms, but some are pretty expensive parts.

I like it best when big gun companies use the shipping manager's name as the sender.

It isnt paranoia when im sure that is how those thieves that get employed at Ups or FedEx choose what boxes to steal.

But it is out of our control besises maybe sending an email to the business asking them to consider that for future orders.

My last job we did the same fir jewelry shipments to our stores or direct to customers for on off liquidation sales. Company name was robbins brothers inc but the box label was RBI. And we used the free fedex or ups box with regular packing tape. No branding on the boxes.

You aren't paranoid when you're living in enemy territory and people really are out to get you.

Smart companies ship in plain boxes. No need to reveal to the world what's inside.

It doesn't matter what the name on the box says, people know what is inside. How does a company sending primers or powder not put the hazmat sticker on it? The UPS driver knows what is inside the container, same with guns.

Look at how they succeeded, they have people afraid to get packages, they have people afraid to put a bumper sticker on their vehicles for fear of being vandalized or otherwise targeted, they have people afraid is speak openly in public places for fear some left winger will say or do something.

You may think no one knows you have guns but they do. From the mail carrier who delivers that NRA newsletter to your bank and all the neighbors who saw you put that gun case into your car, that sweep of the jacket as you got into the car where they saw your gun, the time you opened your garage and they saw your safe, the Amazon driver who dropped off that doodad, they all know.

Some groups came out of the closet, gun owners went to hide in safes. I know, its prudent to be safe but this is what the left depends upon and they do things to turn that into fear.

Its like carrying a gun. When few people do it then it's something to hide away and whisper about. When lots of people do it, it becomes routine and acceptable to all. How did the tables turn so that now gun owners are so worried about things everyone else is not?

Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?

Think past your gun, it's the last resort, the first is your brain.

Defense is a losing proposition when time is on the side of the opponent. In the history of humanity, no defense has ever won against an enemy with time on their side.

Wow, I thought I was paranoid. Good to know there are at least 2 crackpots out there whose tin foil is stretched even tighter than mine.

No, you’re not being paranoid. Most companies know and do this.

Not only guns though, I bought my wife a $1500 camera from adorama a couple weeks ago and was surprised to find a beaten up box delivered with their company logos all over it? Only one item missing from it, the camera made it…. Idiots…
