I have a couple of questions regarding the revolver that I have posted pictures of. This was my fathers, and it is a CHP commemorative firearm. I guess I would just like to know a little bit more about the gun and if anyone has a good idea as to the value?

I think it's a model 67, I had one that I sold on here like 5 years ago. Was in good condition, think I got a grand for it if I remember correctly.Comment

Model 68 (.38 spl only) in the model 66 configuration.
May 1984 (CHP Commemorative model)
Looks like the belt bucket is missing.
Same gun was made for LAPD (Commemorative1983) and carried BTW by its officers.
Commemorative gun prices are all over the chart.
In our current amrket.
Absolute mint, perfect condition gun, zero evidience of being handled, dry fired, etc.. box, papers, tools, (unfired of course) with belt bucket.....$850 to $1,200.
If its been fired...Its just another shooter....$650 to $750.
Google California Highway Patrol Commemorative for everything you want to know about the gun.Comment

It is hard for me to see if that is blue steel or stainless. If it is blue steel send me a PM and I can help with background. If Stainless I would not be of much help.May I always be the type of person my dog thinks I amComment

The Blue were a limited run, one per officer. The stainless came later through CAHP and you could order as many as you wanted. I know because my father bought a stainless for each kid and male grandkid.Only slaves don't need guns

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.
