    DROS Delayed..?

    Haven't purchased a firearm since 2015. Own 5+ handguns/rifles..

DROS'd a M&P Shield, waited 10 days, and then DROS'd another two stripped AR lowers.

I was eligible for pick up for the handgun, but since my vehicle registration was expired, opted to just get that sorted out and pick up everything later.

Today, on day 14 of the the 10 day period, AFTER the usual time for pickup, the CA DOJ delayed my DROS for the M&P Shield.

So now I'm just wondering what's going on.. No information can be provided.
How many of you have experienced a DROS delay? Is this fairly common or rare?

I got delayed in 2014 after I got out of the Army and they wanted me to fax my DD-214 to them. I did and the DROS got released shortly after. I just don't know what this is about now. If I was a criminal or had ill intentions, I'm already armed ..? I see no purpose to this

Was just notified of my delay minutes ago. I too have purchased several firearms including handguns and rifles. Still own some. I was supposed to pick up tomorrow.

About 6 months ago that happened to me when dros’s my M&P 2.0. Got to the shop and they had a letter of delayed. I had to wait 30 days but I love that pistol. I hope you didn’t do the paperwork at Oak Tree ‘cause they don’t know what a surname is (Jr) Last time I’ll ever go there !

Looks like based on most people's experiences, I'll just need to wait 30 days...

Most likely DOJ delayed your DROS prior to the end of the 240 hr waiting period. And your FFL didn't tell you.

I won't say it can't happen. But I've NEVER HEARD of a delay AFTER the 10 day wait.

Hopefully you did your "DUE DILIGENCE", and chose a FFL that delivers on an UNDETERMINED STATUS.

IF YOU DID, you will get your gun shortly after the 30 day maximum hold specified in Ca pc 28220 [4]

IF YOU DIDN'T, you may have screwed yourself by picking a FFL who doesn't follow the law.
