The CA AW Ban is hanging by a thread

A motion has been filed to lift the 9th circuits stay on the purchase and possession of rifles.

      Best wishes.

The problem is, the CA Legislature can come up with new laws faster than the SC can strike them down.

There's no information if this affects the 89 ban.

Say if the AWB is lifted will those registered AW still be registered? Or does the DOJ have to throw those records out?

A federal judge has overturned California’s three-decade-old ban on assault weapons, calling it a “failed experiment” that violates the constitutional right to bear arms.

Probably just release them to the public as it seems to be the way now.

                It wouldn't surprise me.

The 50bmg ban should soon follow.

As a victim of the 1989 AWB I hope it goes away. All of my 13 RAWs are banned by name.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

I am not sure if they will looked at cases we should have won after SCOTUS gave them the clarified guidelines. If not, the roster has to go through the litigation process again with the new introduction of taking 3 guns off for every micro-stamped handgun added.

I painted a rifle yesterday. With hopeful optimism, I went ahead and painted a standard grip matching while I was at it, so if the ban goes away I have it ready to swap out!

My guess is that if the ban is lawfully thrown out, the azz clowns in Sac-a-tomato will find another way to make us outlaws by submitting more blatantly unconstitutional laws that have already been prepared just on a contingency basis. They knew some day this was a possibility.

The AG recently released all gun owners names and addresses in Kali.
That was the beginning of payback. Stand by for more incoming rounds.
They give not 1 sheet about the law. Only obedience of the herd.
