Question: can I buy a barrel + slide for my registered pistol from the web?

    Gentlefolks

I'm considering buying a conversion kit (22LR) for one of my pistols and found one for a good price online.

The vendor says a FFL is not needed, but California gun law is a byzantine maze built on purpose to criminalize citizens.

So I got ask: are we allowed to buy a barrel + slide + magazine from the web? (as long the magazines are restricted in size i.e. max 10 cartridges) and it is not a threaded barrel?

yes, the registered part is the fcu, and you can have conversion kits shipped to your home from places like osage county...
some kits aren't sold with 10rd mags, so places like osage will swap them out so it is legal.

of course, it has been a while, so not sure if shippers still are okay.

Slides, magazines and barrels are not serialized parts.
Buy as many as you can afford.

            Not so much.

That would make a it an assault weapon. Lets you use a suppressor that you can't purchase in this state and stuff.

Yes, this is still CA legal.

Thanks all for the information, I really appreciate it.

22LR sounds like a good route to save some money given that 9mm is so damn expensive in these days.

                  Threaded Barrel Description

Looking at the description for a threaded barrel under PC 30515 (a)(9)(G), should this be added as one of the criteria defining an AW in the "CA Semiauto Ban(AW)ID Flowchart"? Seems to say if it does not have a fixed magazine, just having a threaded barrel makes it an AW.
