So do you think they have a backlog of other orders that came in before yours and by the time they got to yours they had no inventory left? Has that thought crossed your mind

I've been buying parts from BCA.com for the past few builds, and they've been decent enough that I didn't feel like there were any issues despite their outlandishly cheap prices on barrels and uppers in general.
      .
My latest purchase was on 6/24 for a 24" SS 223 wylde barrel for a bench build.

The card was charged on the 24th, Friday.

On the 27th, Monday, CC company gave me a call about a dubious charge for someone paying their bills from Apple with my card. I said it sure wasn't me and told them to stop the transaction.

6/28, Tuesday, I called BCA asking them if the order is proceeding forward as it still shows "Processing" on my order status. They said they're just taking their sweet time, I asked if they've already charged my card, they said yes, cards are charged the moment the order was placed. I said "great, I'll wait then.

I checked the SS 24" barrel on their website at the same time, they had 10 in stock originally, now it's down to 7, now on Tuesday.

6/29, Wednesday, I checked my order status again, it still shows "Processing." I checked the SS 24" barrel on their site again, it now shows 5 in stock. None of my business, I thought, I paid for mine last week.

6/30 Thursday, I checked my order status again, still shows "Processing" The 24" SS barrel now shows 2 left, then, out of stock on their website. I thought, "None of my business, I paid for mine last Friday."

I open my email, and see an email from BCA titled "Please contact BCA regarding your order *********. I open it, and it reads, "there has been a problem with your order, your SS barrel item number ******* is out of stock. Please contact BCA for a recommended substitute product. If we do not hear from you in 48 hours, we will automatically cancel the out of stock order."

Now, a smirk across my face, I'm thinking these guys can't seriously have sold MY barrel, that I paid for on 6/24, to 10 other guys, over the course of a week, one at a time, while they took my money, sat on it, and watched the inventory go from 10 in stock to out of stock, over the course of a week, all the while telling me on the phone that it's just "taking time to process the order."

Yes, I did call my cc company to make sure that BCA did indeed charge me for the order the day I had placed it. So they did take my money and sit on it for a whole week while selling MY barrel that I had already paid for, to 10 other customers.

I'm going to call them tomorrow to see what they'll say, and I struggled about whether to post this now or not, as I don't want to put them under the spotlight without giving them a chance to right this mess first. But this is just clowning on another level. I'll keep this thread updated after I talk to them tomorrow.

Meanwhile, if ya want to buy from Bear Creek Arsenal, go right ahead, maybe it will work out for you. As for me, we'll see.

What you should do is wait until you complete the transaction as in you spoke to them and they told you yadda yadda bla. What if they come back with we will send you a new upper at 10% discount due to our mishandling the order. We apologize and want to keep your patronage. They may be a crappy company with crappy products along with crappy customer service

I’ve ordered uppers before and it showed in process for weeks.

No one said "just as good or better"; how does BCA take up this much space in your head? Seriously, you're crapping on a company that you have claimed no first hand experience with. And why are you so upset because other people don't feel the same way you do about BCA? What difference does it make to you? Do you get bitter when someone prefers Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf over Starbucks or expresses a positive opinion about your least favorite soft drink?

And, yes; .350L and x39 aren't as dependably ready fresh out of the box as a new S&W M&P-15 in 5.56. They commonly need gas adjustments and experimenting with buffer weights and springs, even when sourced from Super Tier One Operator companies. Both mine ran well on completed 80% lowers from the very first and have remained dependable hunting guns.

I wouldn't go to BCA to arm up a police department and I wouldn't send crates of their stuff to our military but for hunting guns and range toys (which is what OP and I have both stated) BCA fills the need without having to spend Tromix levels of cash.

I have a 7.62x39 upper from them, standard charging handle with forward assist etc. 300 rounds so far, no issues. I'm happy.

Sure I'm not mag dumping to do a stress test of 3000 but I'm not loaded with that kind of money unlike some folks.

22 WMR in a semi-auto tends to be unreliable and very ammo sensitive from everything I have seen and read. I wasn't going to get one. I looked at Savage, etc... was kind of set on getting a bolt-gun someday. I took a chance on an AR upper for probably half the cost I would have put into a bolt gun.

It runs all the ammo I wanted it to run.

No one said any of the things you are spouting off about. Most people I know that may have one or two BCA uppers also have other REAL nice guns. I have a lot of PSA FN barrel uppers a few LaRue's, Noveske uppers with DD rails, old Bushmasters, new Windhams, RRA R3's, all with great BCG's, etc...

The jury is out on BCA for me like I said, so do not put words in my mouth. I steered clear of them forever. Recently have been hearing good things about their gun sin calibers like .22 LR, 7.62x39, and that new 22 Mag.

The upper is accurate and hasn't had a failure yet. Just because you want their latest offerings to have tish longevity for whatever reason, does not mean it will work out that way in reality. I haven't emotionally invested in BCA. You should try not to do that either unless they kicked your dog or stole your girl. Please do list the BCA products you personally tested though.

Imagine unironically defending a garbage product this much.

I like their English Breakfast Tea bags a lot. No need to tea bag someone for buying a BCA tho. Ya heard? Happy Independence Day, CG.
