I wonder why they sent that out? Experts have been available on their site for quite awhile. I look daily and they haven't been out of stock.Comment

Damn, looks like you gotta drop $1100 for an expert grade to get something that doesn't look like absolute dogpoop these days. Considering there are fantastic looking garands on the marketplace for like $1300, I would absolutely not deal with the CMP's bullcrap for that difference in price, esp when you can probably haggle that 1300 down someUnless we keep the barbarian virtues, gaining the civilized ones will be of little avail. You're getting service grades at 1300 in the marketplace lol. Definitely not expert grades anywhere near 1100 in the marketplace.Damn, looks like you gotta drop $1100 for an expert grade to get something that doesn't look like absolute dogpoop these days. Maybe they had a sense that a marketing email might gin up some sales? No idea.
I have not checked their site for a while, but the email got my attention.iTrader under old CalGunsComment

How does the bore look? I tried to hand select a WRA rack grade at the TMP last month, some barrels with low numbers as well, but upon inspection with a bore light, the bores were shot, some areas actually opened up with no rifling left.
It was weird to see a decent bore then lets say 8 inches in, the bore opens up and looks like a sewer pipe. I couldn't bring my self to buy any, if it was a SA or a H&R I might have for $650, but the WRA Racks were $830.
I have five of them on order now. I have new wood for them if needed and a couple barrels if needed, But I'm thinking of changing my order to two experts and two racks.Comment

I haven't dropped a borescope down yet, but to my surprise the rifling looks pretty decent for a rack grade and better than some of the rack grade guns I have seen on the CMP forms.
