Fox News Poll on Gun Control

Fox News Poll: Voters voice strong support for gun reform

Apparently Fox News did live interviews over the phone with just a 1000 people nationwide as they claim.

Though I find it interesting that folks polled hate the NRA more but also trust the GOP more on guns.

Polls like this are meaningless as they don't contain any details.

If I could have an endorsement in my driver's license saying "citizen/clean background" with which I could buy any gun from anywhere in the country, I would support such "background check." On the other hand, if it's a euphemism for "universal registration," where the government records make, model and serial number of the gun (which is irrelevant for purposes of background checks), then it's a @#$@#$ no!

They tell us 1002 people were surveyed but don't tell us how many of those people were Democrats vs. Republicans.

And when they ask questions about background checks do they clearly explain that the only way to make background checks useful is to also require gun registration?

And when they ask about Red Flag laws do they clearly explain how those laws work and that they clearly violate a person's right to due process or how many times those laws are used maliciously and/or that there is no punishment prescribed in the law if someone abuses the law and even less punishment actually doled out when someone does abuse the laws?

Why didn't they ask people if they thought any of the laws being proposed would have stopped the Uvalde and Buffalo shootings?

Republicans don't answer phones. There was a poll on that.

I'd like to see the demographics of who is poled to have any validity. Also do a control group for comparison where they inform them first of the ineffectiveness of these same existing gun laws in California and see how they answer vs the uniformed group.

for once, i'd like to see a poll that ask:
1- are you in favor of arming teachers?
                2- armed security?
                3- police presence?
4- maintain a gun free zone?

                      We had tougher gun laws

Until Brown, News um and commie libtards in Sacramento did away with them.

that's the first time I heard of that idea... the drivers license & anywhere in the country to purchase. I like that idea.
