No, it's not classified a C&R by name by the ATF.

If the wikipedia page is accurate, the production years were 1963 to 1998, so the oldest one is 46 years old at present time.

I'm thinking it's exempt from THE LIST under the single shot pistol clause('ala- Contender), but I could be mistaken. What are you trying to figure out- if it's Claifornia legal to buy one or?????????

XP-100's (ONLY the single shot not the repeater XP's with built in mags) as wel as Contenders are legal to ship here as they are single shot pistols and exempt from 'the list'

Got this one back in January.. rechambered in 7mmIHMSA

I understand they are legal in single shot config, but i have been told they come under the "curio" portion of c&r and don't want to spread something that is not accurate.

That is correct... when a FFL goes on line to the DOJ they click on the Curios section and then list it as a single shot pistol exemption.
