Unintended Consequences author John Ross died last week...

Unintended Consequences author John Ross passed away last week.

A highly recommended book if you are a gunny type. Lots of history re: U.S. gun regulations over the years. Very long book, it can get tedious in places, but it is well worth the read and may give you some good ideas about how you might react and respond to future infringements upon your God-given liberties.

I won't say any more about the book, check it out here:

Just started reading it. It will be interesting to see where he goes with it. I'm currently in 1956. Great book so far

I bought the book years ago, based on a recommendation from a friend, but failed to read it. Life got in the way at the time and it found it’s way to to the bookshelf.

Time to dust it off and pay my respects to Mr. Ross. It will be a great read, I’m sure.

You know what's messed up. Audible.com does not have that book available

But they do have three other books with the exact same title name written by other people.

Do it! It may take a couple weeks due to the length, but all freedom-loving gun-folk should read it (in my opinion).

I met John Ross at the KCMGS sometime around 2007 . He had a booth there and was an interesting man with a great sense of humor . At that time, gun grabber and Missouri Senator Mel Carnahan was killed in a private plane crash.
John Ross raised his index finger over his head and brought it straight down with the exact comment .
" When Carnahan flew his plane into the ground. I immediately called the Missouri State Police and told them where I was when it happened "...LOL

Sad to hear about his passing away.

I too recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Gun Culture. It is a great story with some unforgettable characters. I think if Mr. Ross had just left off some of the tangents about heavy caliber weapons & such it would read easier for most people.

It's a story that will stay with you forever.

I still have my signed hardback that I bought from John Ross in person at Knob Creek back in the late 90's.
