I was trying to transfer a private party weapon, and the CA DOJ basically said I failed the background check. I'm a spotless veteran, with nothing more than a parking ticket.
In the letter, they said I could submit a "Request for Live Scan Service" with finger prints, etc. to check my record, or that the gun might be listed as stolen.
So, I filled out the form, got the finger prints done, and can't, for the life of me, find where to mail the completed forms to. Do I send them to the address on the envelope, or the address on the Scan Service paperwork, or just to the CA DOJ/Firearms address? I just bought another weapon in February with no problems.
Hell, if I don't get this done I'm gonna lose the gun in 22 days. Does anybody have any suggestions, because I'm listening. Even willing to call a lawyer, if that's what it takes.
