DROS wasn't delayed
Too many rifles, not enough time...Tags: None -
Knock on wood, but I've probably DROS'd 25-30 firearms over the last 5-6 years and I've never been delayed.
Hope I didn't jinx myself...Too many rifles, not enough time... -
Same here I've DROS many firearms within the past year and nothing vas far as delays go (fingers crossed)

Only delayed by dozens of people in the store during COVID rush. Never delayed by DOJ.
Last week I picked up two handguns using FFL03+COE. Manager at store said DOJ called and asked how I was able to DROS two guns on the same day. He explained the exemption and referenced the entry in DES submitting the DROS which shows the basis for exemption. The clerk thanked him and hung up.
If one isn't trained and can't read, one will have problems in this life.Comment

So DOJ lies when they tell callers they are delayed because they are backlogged with tons of DROS requests??
Seems, if true, all would be delayed.Comment

Same here; but does that matter? I'm not sure what the point is about creating a thread to advise one has not been delayed. Is it to serve as a counterpoint for creating argument where one isn't needed, or even in advocacy/defense of the CA DOJ on this issue, to say "see, mine was OK, maybe it's you?"
If posted even in jest, it's one area of humor, where civil-rights violations are being committed that I just can't seem to muster a chuckle about. I'm sure hundreds of DROS processes got through without a delay or unexplained "undetermined" each and every day - just like all of my own.
I've never had a delay or undetermined for the past 32 years of buying in CA and being subjected to its DROS system.
I'm sure thousands of people can report and chime in here all the same, that they have never had a delay, me included - but that adds nothing nor should be seen as commentary to excuse the arising situation that these recent unfounded and unexplained delays, are without a doubt, increasing in frequency.
How long do we just think "well, I've never had a delay" and not address the concern before it actually happens to you, me, or anyone else advising the same?
Even a single unexplained 'delay' or nonsensical 'undetermined' for anyone who is otherwise not a prohibited person is one too many.
The CRPA needs to look into this immediately, put the DOJ on the hot-seat, and get some answers.

I didn't get a speeding ticket today but then I don't speed.Let Go of the Status Quo!
Don't worry, it will never pass...How in the hell did that pass?

Liar. There is no doubt that in CA, you drive over the speed limit on a regular basis. You might not get a ticket, but you do speed, and do so regularly. Rarely does any major road or highway in CA move at the posted speed limit or less - and anything over the limit is in fact speeding.
You just haven't gotten a ticket yet.
But if someone got a speeding ticket when they weren't in fact speeding, and this has happened, would the fact that others not getting a ticket be cause to ignore an unjust situation where a particular LEO or department as a whole was issuing fraudulent speeding tickets at random merely because not EVERY driver down that road got a speeding ticket?
Holy hell, what has happened to Calguns?
By this measure, Calguns would have turned a blind eye to Matt Corwin's case if a similar scenario happened today.
Just lousy.
