    Freedom week mag question

Forgive me if this seems like a stupid question. During freedom week, I bought 10, 30 round Magpul Pmags. At that time, they were the latest and greatest Magpul offered. I didn't even have anything to put them in at the time. It was a do it now or forever hold your peace purchase. I just packed them away in the attic with all my OEM boxes for my small collection.
    My question
Should I expect these to be the Gen 2 or Gen 3 version of their mags?
I'm rehabbing a shoulder injury and don't want to climb up there and look.
More precisely. During freedom week, were the 30 round Gen 3 Magpul Pmags out and available for purchase?

Thanks again for enduring my stupid questions.
Would like to buy 357 Maximum ammo.

depends on what you put in your cart at the time of purchase as both were available back then and now.

Was your follower grey and with a dust cover

Gen 3 only comes with dust cover
Gen 2 brownish follower what I've read,no dust cover

        Later gen also have window

Not pmag, but my seller sent me mags from 04, 14 , steel magazines, guess they were from storage during freedom week.

As of today, both Gen M2 and Gen M3 PMAGS are still in production.

If you really can't be bothered to go look in your attic, then check your sales receipt.

Here is information on the different PMAG revisions:

Interesting Question. I don’t remember Gen 2 being avail then but I could be wrong. I’d guess they were Gen 3. If you are really curious about them you can also look at the casting dates on them to know when they were actually made too. Just in case you wanted better proof they were old enough to be freedom week mags. Some guys and gals don’t know about the casting dates. Just throwing it out there. Not that you asked.

Gen M2 and M3 were very popular (both equally) during Freedom Week. Some people still prefer M2 and did back then too

Yeah both were available and still are. Not a lot of difference between the two. But, the M3 passed the Marine Corps testing to become the standard issue mag. The coyote tan one at least, I don't know if the black one passed. Lol. Coyote tan makes it more tactical.

The M3 is a bit beefier. Though I have no concerns about the durability of the M2s.

I ate a cheese burger last week, can someone tell me if it was a double or single? I am too lazy to look in my septic tank.

I bought a bunch of gen 2's during freedom week because they were $5 cheaper per mag. They have a gray follower. I believe gen 3's have an orange follower.
