Ben Stoeger Pro Shop has a large selection of USPSA, IDPA, IPSC, and 3-Gun Gear, Guns and Parts to help you train and shoot better.

I bought my entire setup, belt, holster, mag pouches, for uspsa from ben stoeger pro shop. One stop shop to get all setup. Give it a look at least.

First USPSA match? Get an Uncle Mike's.

You have to walk before you run.

I should also bum ammo off each person. I mean who do they think I am Rockefeller?

Yeah, which also points you toward Limited or Carry Optics or something like that before you jump into the deep end.

When I jump in the deep end I make sure to attach weights so I sink. Gotta make it worth it.

If you are going to be shooting in Open, you better have an Open gun. Just Google USPSA National equipment survey and you'll find major of the people all use the same things. Literally 2/3 run the same equipment from 2 brands. There's a reason why everyone uses basically the same things. YOU are not that good to reinvent the wheel.

Defiantly not, nor am I trying. Just wanting to go out and have some fun. Not a lot of open land out this way to shoot steel and indoor ranges are boring. So this is my new approach to shoot some more.

All I really need is the holster. Already have a belt set up and plenty of magazines for said gun. Just looking for something good but not cheap to get started.

Any of the Bladetech hoslsters would serve you just fine.

i get where you are coming from. i shot uspsa for 2 years just to force myself to visit the range on a regular basis.

i stayed in production cause i didn't want to spend the money to shoot in open

as long as you are going into it knowing that you will pretty much be in last place (unless someone DNF) in your class every time, then have fun at it.

heck, you don't need an open class holster if the goal is really just to go shoot. just get whatever holster you fancy regardless of what "class" it is legal for since you will in Open Class, so literally everything is legal holster wise short of some kind of crazy contraption holster.

Heck! If OP wants to shoot his 2011 AIWB - it is all legal in Open… Heck! He can also shoot IDPA-style - fishing vest + AIWB (allowed depending on match director)…

Uncle Mike's used to sell decent Kydex holsters pretty cheap. Blade Tech has a solid reputation, and I've used those too. I could never recommend a Fobus, don't know if those are around any more. They caused all kinds of problems in a defensive handgun class at Front Sight. There's lots of options. Red Hill seems pretty ggod, and they would build custom stuff last time I looked.
                              good luck!
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?
