Is it Primer FUD or is it True?

I do not know where or how someone could verify this.

Remington & Federal officially announced they are no longer selling primers to the public.

Winchester said they will be cutting back primer sales, and CCI has not said squat about selling primers.

Same person who told me this also said he just sold a brick of Winchester Large Rifle Primers north of two hundred.

Again, I don't know. So please keep the thermostat flame heat on low if you must.

Resellers here are getting about $100 per thousand. I picked up some from Midway about 6 weeks or so ago for under $100 per thousand.

Hopefully by the end of the year the new primer manufacturing plant will be shipping stuff.

Well, a year ago the CEO of Fed/CCI/Rem ammo posted in a youtube announcement that primers' priority was going to ammo manufacturing.

I saw a deal last week that if you bought their reloading press package, you get a thousand Remington primers for free.

Mine are for sale in reloading sales for 100 bucks per k. Maybe I should ask 140 for a deal fro calgunners. (LOL)

I heard they're going to stop making them, and the new price will be $150 per thousand, minimum 10,000.

Look at the prices of commodity metals like copper and nickel over the past 12 months. Whatever prices you hoped for are vapor except for here and there. Availability for all items made using them are going up, rather quickly.

Then check the prices for scrap copper and nickel over the past 12 months.

Next up is brass. Way up.

I'm not some metals guru I just watch the commodities as part of investments, no special insight except just noting the prices of the materials and copper and nickel if I'm not mistaken, are used in making primers. Now, primer manufacturing isn't some super huge demand consumer of those metals but then they also don't have the buying power of those that are making things that bring a lot more money or needed to make more important products (primers are important to us, not many others).

It will hit projectiles before too long. BBB will see metals going into infrastructure projects like the grid and then products like EVs and their related needed (charging stations and all that) and copper prices will keep going way up.

A few years from now finding primers at $70 will be like winning the lotto, just IMO.

Yep. If you get the chance to buy some at the new normal price of $75-$85 per 1k, you better buy as many as you can, and keep buying. It's only going to go up. I predict the next "new normal" price stop will be about $130/1k.
