Since there is no details, I'm just going to take a stab at this.

Outgunned?

3 employees. 1 grandpa, 1 grandma and 1 kid. You got at best 3 guns drawn. My belief in this scenario 0 were drawn. At hopes, there was at least 2 drawn by gramps and kid.

- 2 large vehicles, dually truck and sub. At minimal 2 people. My guess, minimal 4 - 6.
Everyone with premeditated mentality and minimally 1 gun drawn per.

I get the feeling the killers knew well in advance on the gun range schedule and habits. No way you can steal that much and not risk encountering other well armed customers. They clearly had the place scoped out.

They had time to locate and take the surveillance equipment and load a good amount of weapons.

Sad news. And I get the terrible feeling those at DU are laughing it up, saying this poor family had it coming.

yipes, my first take would be "inside" or at least inside knowledge because ain't any decent CCTV Security these days all about Real Time To The Cloud so no matter what happens at the scene you got video up at least up till system was disabled.

BTW, I'm still looking for good cheap basic smart phone based "To The Cloud" body cam app.

If I'm paying for 'unlimited data' shouldn't it be just one time purchase of app (or free with ads for a app that sends my body cam video to my home PC or The Cloud?

An inside job where they end up killing everyone? Inside job would be someone working there or a relationship to the people, you'd think an inside job would avoid the killing part if they had info about the shops operation because now everyone is looking for them as murderers and not robbing scum. If they just took the guns there isn't some manhunt going on - this will have everyone including family and friends looking for these guys. I'd say their days are numbered in single digits - hopefully.

More likely, loose lips, people talking about stuff they should keep private, like a disabled security system, knowledge of inventory all gained by idle chit chat.

I wouldn't call this a gun shop shooting anymore than what happened in Sacramento was gun violence. It was despicable humans robbing a place and killing people.

IMO we'll see more of this as more and more people flow over the borders and want guns but aren't legally allowed to buy them. Same with all those criminals getting released from prisons.

What a shame.

Oof, it gets worse. The coroner that was called to the scene was the father of the kid, and the couple were his parents. I hope they catch the thieves quickly.
