A glock something with a light. Stock except sights, reliable, i am familiar with its operation and easily replaceable. If the DA decides to prosecute for some reason you are having all your pews taken anyways.

Since the Glock works
Mags don't fail
Don't rust
Inside of the home, the longest shot is close.
How does a wiz bang off roster work better?
3/8" group vs 5/8" group?Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

LE trade in Glock 21sf and Glock 22.
Simple and reliable.
Paid $300 for each, even though as others have pointed out, the price doesnt matter if it saves your or your loved ones life.Last edited by Tere_Hanges; 04-07-2022, 6:54 PM.CRPA and NRA member.
Note that those who have repeatedly expressed enough vile and incoherent content as to render your views irrelevant, have been placed on my ignore list. Thank you for helping me improve my experience and direct my attention towards those who are worthy of it. God bless your toxic little souls.Comment

My HD guns are basic garden variety reliable guns. i have a Ruger 45 275 bucks and a Mossberg 590 i think it was 380 at the time. A more expensive gun wont make a difference. Most people get shot and killed with your garden variety Saturday night special or 9mm G-lock than a Farting and Smashing hand crafted tactical MK-90/11Comment

This being California, I use the cheapest gun...which is a Glock 30SF. It used to be my FNP-9 but since that fell off the roster, it is no longer my cheapest.Comment

"Which one would I be OK with being held in an evidence locker for 2 years before I was cleared?"
This also leans towards a .45.
The scenario I wonder about is the person who has the pellet gun that looks like a real gun. Their plan is usually to intimidate people into giving up their stuff.
But what if they encounter armed resistance and respond by dropping the pellet gun and surrendering? In that situation I want them looking down the barrel of a large bore so they know I don't have a pellet gun.
The most likely scenario for the pellet-gun burglar is they run away when they encounter armed opposition.
A .45 also sounds different than a 9mm. Since all these home invasions seem to involve 3-5 people, perhaps the difference in sound will make the remaining attackers understand the seriousness of the situation and they run away after the first confrontation. Though I suspect people will use that as a reason for using a shotgun.
Not sure anyone will even think to look at the bore diameter during this occurrence, IMO... Also, I don't buy into the "sounds different, or sounds scaring away burglars etc..." I feel like most are drugged out and oblivious. anyone professional enough to have common sense breaking into my house, probably had bad intel, because there's no reason for them to put their skills for worthless **** I have at homeAC993

Machete... because it's silent. No report and none to complete. Nobody will know unless I call the Police, and pick-up trucks are handy.
Solely the reason OJ got away with murder, expensive lawyers aside.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?Comment

For me it would probably be any 1911 or an M & P Shield as it’s a pretty reliable weapon also.sigpicComment
