ranges - steel core ammo

anyone know of any ranges in the LA or surrounding area that allows the discharge of steel cored ammo? Im going to procure a mosin nagant m44 and will be getting some surplus ammo with it. i know a lot of places that say they dont allow it, but some might be lax about it. input appreciated. thanks

Almost none of them will let you my friend.

If you want to but that surplus ammo, do so, but make sure you go and shoot it off on BLM land (Public land)

If you are in L.A, I'd say the closest is Barstow...But ask some other members, they might know closer ones.

I really do not know how true it is but I heard a lil while back that some of the ranges will let you depending on what the fire hazard rating is. Maybe someone can clarify that on if it is just total BS or actually true.

well with fire season here, i think most are going to enforce their ban on it. maybe when winter rolls around they will be more lax wit the steel core?
