How do you feel about the Finger ~

Grooves on the 3rd generation Glocks ?

Also, why doesn't Glock takes the time to remove the 2 contact points and still supply CA with 3rd gen Glocks ..

Couldn't Glock inc make that change - I'm sure the removal wouldn't violate CA inept law / list of approved Glocks..

I like finger grooves myself. So I would say Glock 19 Gen 3 is Glock Perfection

It's personal preference, some like them, I had them removed during a stipple, and I like it better without.
No, Glock cannot make the change, it would be a new pistol and would not be allowed any more than the Gen5, which already has no grooves. Only the exact, approved pistol remains approved. They couldn't even make it in a different color without dropping from the roster.

That is a shame - I find that the no fiber groves and a light smoothing on the trigger guard - does make a difference, but as you posted - this is ca..

The finger grooves fit my hands great, so I like them. But I can see why others might hate them if their hands didn't really fit the grooves right.

I was blessed with "average" hands. Almost everything with finger grooves feels like putty in my hands. My 92FS Brigadier with the factory rubber hogue grips feel like heaven to me - but just like the Glock finger grooves, some people hate them.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.

Not too crazy about them on 17.3. Paws on the larger side, grip feels little more awkward then on 17.5. Not gonna start di….g around though by doing stippling and stuff..

Glock 17 Gen 3. The finger grooves don't bother me. I don't even notice them.

I liked the Gen 2 frame the most. The gen 3 finger groves can alter the grip for people with small/medium hands. I find myself right in the middle with the Gen 3's... its not great but its not bad either.

There is actually an exception regarding colors. I know there were quite a few varieties of the CW9 that would be on roster since they are identical to the base model. But a change to the design of any part of the handgun would cause it to become "unsafe".

Ehh I am neutral about it, but then again I've only handled a 3rd gen glock that was my buddy's, I've never personally owned one myself, opinion might lean towards one side more than the other if I did

I never minded the finger grooves that is until I bought a Gen 5. I should have ground them off long ago.

I prefer without, but for my Glocks that do have them, it's never posed a problem. I just prefer not to be limited in placement/purchase by finger grooves at all.

Yet, just like the removable variations in backstraps offered on so many plastic fantastics now days, why not simply offer a variety of front straps with grooves, no grooves, some you can slide in either way with the groove(s) either at the top, middle, or bottom, different sized grooves - and the like?

Seems like offering that as an option would be obvious by now, what with all the other variety of grip variations that are offered.

You could even offer variations in trigger guards, round, squared off, front support hand finger hook - that snap in/snap out.

They still make two generations of guns with them, that doesn't sound like abandonment to me
