    Where can I find a...

Can anyone tell me where I can find a Marlin 1894 in SoCal? I've looked around and it seems that they are currently a high priority. I want to buy a new one in .357/.38 cal. with an 18.5" barrel. I would appreciate any info. Thanks in advance...and best regards.

They're a high priority everywhere. Cheapest I've seen lately is starting at $500.00 and going up from there.
      Try http://www.auctionarms.com/ or http://www.gunbroker.com/

      Good luck.
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Your best bet is to get a shop to order you one. Since you want it new, this should work out for you. Besides, I've seldom seen a shop stock lever guns in .357/.38 unless it was used or consignment. Usually they stock .30-30 and .45/70 guide guns. Just find the shop that will give you the best price and go from there. Odds are that the asking price will be a little better than getting it on an auction site then paying shipping and transfer. YMMV
