I've picked multiple races in the past just to play games and have never had a problem with it. I doubt that's it. You probably share the same name as someone that's prohibited and they're mixing you up. Bunch of BS.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.

Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.

And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

I hung up the phone after I waited about an hour and a half for a DOJ representative. Went to the CFARS website and updated my information making sure to put everything exactly how it was on my previous dros from a shotgun I bought in October. Hopefully everything will get updated soon and I can get my order of ammo from Bass Pro before it gets returned to stock.

I had issues once when they put JR at the end of my last name and not in the suffix. But since I have bought 3 more guns since then that issue has been corrected. It has to be something with your name or address I bet

From my experience it's pretty much a hassle to do even ammo, I remember I went to do a PPT at a Turners and the guy looked at my FSC card and basically said that my paternal and maternal last names were not separated but together as one long run on last name. I told him and showed him that that's how the DMV has always put my name on my vehicle registration, so in order to proceed with the PPT I had to take the FSC test AGAIN

UPDATE: yesterday I logged into CFARS and updated my information and also had to input the serial number for the shotgun that I bought in October (most recent gun purchased) so that they could cross-reference it. Again, I input the information into CFARS exactly how it appeared on my dros and I got an email this morning to check CFARS. And guess what? REJECTED!!! Apparently the DOJ does not have the serial number for my shotgun on file!

I guess I just have to go buy another gun?

That was the easiest way for me to get it done after I moved.

I would send them a copy of the DROS and ask them what happened.

Also, does your last gun DROS have a DELIVERY DATE/TIME: and DELIVERED BY: at the top right? Or do you only have a copy of the DROS when it was submitted? I am wondering if your FFL never properly marked the gun as delivered in DES

Went to Bass Pro to pick up an online order of ammo only to be rejected by the DOJ. This is a first for me, so I went to the doj website to find out what was wrong in the message I received basically told me that my purchase was rejected because one of two reasons... (1) I had no record in the AFS system, or (2) the information provided by the merchant didn't match DOJ records.

I fished up an old dros form from OCT 2021 and referenced all the information provided there to the dros form from today and noticed two seemingly minor discrepancies:

                          (1) my race is listed as "other" and on my previous dros as "Hispanic"

                          (2) my weight os listed as 200, but on my previous dros it's 209.

Could either of these things affect weather or not my check gets denied? I can't really see how it would but these are the only discrepancies that I can find. Other than that everything matches up perfectly. Has this happened to any of you? Any suggestions?

Thanks for all your help. This feels so ridiculously dumb...
The CA ammo vendor is required to provide you with an ATN #, so that you can check what went wrong on CFARS.

California Code of Regulations Title 11 Division 5 Chapter 10 Article 2 Section 4282
Standard Ammunition Eligibility Check (AFS Match).
                          (a) A purchaser or transferee is authorized to purchase ammunition if their information matches an entry in the Automated Firearm System and does not match an entry in the Prohibited Armed Persons File.
                          (1) A purchaser or transferee may request, through an ammunition vendor, that the Department conduct a Standard Ammunition Eligibility Check to determine if the ammunition purchaser or transferee qualifies for this authorization.
                          (b) As authorized by Penal Code section 30370, subdivision (e), the fee for a Standard Ammunition Eligibility Check is $1.00.
                          (c) The ammunition vendor shall collect the purchaser's or transferee's name, date of birth, current address, and driver's license or other government identification number in the manner described in Penal Code section 28180, and telephone number, and enter this information into the DES website.
                          (d) Upon the Department's completion of the Standard Ammunition Eligibility Check, the Department shall update the purchaser's or transferee's DES record to instruct the ammunition vendor to approve or reject the purchase or transfer.
                          (e) If the purchase or transfer is rejected, the ammunition vendor shall provide the purchaser or transferee with an ATN that can be used to obtain the reason for the rejection through the Department's CFARS website.
