    RCBS customer service

I just got off the phone with RCBS, I cant believe how nice, prompt and awsome their customer service staff is!!
I have an old ammomaster progressive press that ive staring at as it sits on my workbech in the garage due to a broken case detection push rod. Ive gone out of my way to find another powder measure that i could throw on their but it would mean one more step in the reloading process as i wouldnt be able actuate the measure without using the handle on it. a local store told me there was no way i would find the part and tried to sell me new system

well i just called RCBS and they had the part and have sent it on it's way to me free of charge how often does that happen these days? the guy i tlked to was nice and friendly and said i should have it in the next couple of days.

I was just about to buy a new set of lee dies but at this point i think im going to stick with RCBS dies as the company seems to be desearving of my money after the service i just received from them
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

    RCBS = Awesome

I have a very similar story with RCBS.

I purchased a Charge Master Combo from Midway USA that was defective. It simply wouldn't turn on. I called RCBS, they took down my information and told me another was on the way. Included with the one they sent was a return shipping label. I promptly returned the defective item and have been using it ever since.

I have never had a company send out a replacement item before receiving the defective item back.

Awesome company to do business with.

RCBS is legendary for their customer service. I've been using their products for 29 years and I've never heard of a single complaint about them.

RCBS stuff isn't cheap, but they do have good customer service. They are local for us too; so we won't likely hear some BS about not selling this or that item in the PRK...

I just got a Chargemaster with the bad keypad problem that's pretty common. The guy that I talked to at RCBS didn't sound even remotely interested in helping me. He said "Oh... I guess you can return it to Midway. Or you could send it to us." Then he goes on to tell me that it'll probably take a couple of weeks for them to send me out a working unit.

Overall I'm not very impressed. So now I'm out the shipping money back to them and several weeks most likely in the dark without my chargemaster.

I always liked that electronic powder measure but i cant see spending 300+ for one.

The negative experiences with RCBS customer service have been few and far between that I've seen and experienced. They are usually top shelf and always willing to make what ever it is right.

Maybe I'll try calling them again on monday. Hopefully I'll talk to someone who cares and will find a way to expedite my exchange. I just scored an 8# jug of Varget and 175NCCs that I'd love to load with but I'm waiting on the CM to come back.

Call them again and hope for a different rep because that doesn't sound like RCBS. We all have our "off" days and the effects are especially bad for those in front-line customer service roles.

I have the same experiences with both KelTec and Steyr, fantastic customer service! I'll keep doing business with them.

Thanks for the post, it's always good to hear of this, rather than always ranting about bad service from some places!

Wow ! I would be pretty un-impressed too. I wish i could remember the name of the person I spoke with. It was quite a while ago.

I would do as one of the other members suggested and call back.

                            Hope it all works out.

                              Here's an update.

I got my Chargemaster back today. I was pretty surprised to see it show up at my desk in the office today. So that's not too bad

So while I guess their CS department may still have a few kinks to work out here and there, their service does deserve praise.
