Glock 44 vs Sig Mosquito. 22lr

I don't have any experience with either but since I'm a Glock guy I'm probably going to end up with the 44. I fondled one a pawn shop recently.
On the converse the Sig is a good looking gun plus I kind of like the name of it.
A friend of mine bought one and she loves it. Haven't heard her complain about it. That is as close as I have come to one.Originally posted by superhondaz50I should note, I have a hookup..., just trying to determine the cost to put it in.Originally posted by beerman...He comes out while I'm at work to **** the wife..I shall name him Sancho. -
How about a Taurus TX22 Competition. 16 round mag and the optic is mounted on a part that doesn't move.

One is a discontinued turd (sig) and the
other is overpriced (unless you’re exempt)

I sold my SIG Mosquito because it ran semi-reliably only on premium high velocity ammo; any standard hi-vel stuff meant I'd be clearing jams regularly. FTF, FTE, stovepipes. I bought a Browning Buckmark Hunter 7.5" and have been very happy with its performance. It will malf only when crusty dirty. I also bought a GSG 1911-22 that is a virtual replica of my ParaOrdnance Expert Carry. It also runs flawlessly even on Rem and Win bulk bullets.
If it came down to Sig or Glock, I'd just get a conversion for the 17 or 19 I already have. If that's not an option, Glock would be it. I've never fired a G44 but a friend of mine loves the one he has. That, and I have a hard time imagining it could be worse than the Mosquito without destroying the company brand.Comment

Good friend had a SIG and couldn't get rid if it fast enough due to what's already been mentioned.NRA Life Member

g44 vs sig Mosquito
I had Sig Mosquito for short time, worst unreliable gun I ever own,
sold it within 6 months, bought it 22lr conversion kit for my g17
much more reliable then Sig Mosquito, still get FTF on regular 22lr ammo
1 or 2 ftf per mag, almost 100% on mini mag ammo.Comment

The interesting thing here is that GSG supplied the Mosquito for SIG, which was virtually the same gun as the off-roster Firefly P220-22 variant, which also has issues. They also delivered Sig’s 1911 22lr conversion and P220 conversion, both of which suffered from the same issues of poor ammo handling.
Why are GSG’s own pistols workable, but their Sig clones not, even as a Sig-branded exercise?
I purchased both the 922 and 1911-22 GSGs, and they’re fine, except the finish is lacking in spots…it’s a cheap cast Zinc gun for Pete’s sake. I like them enough to plink with, and fairly reliable with good ammo.Comment

I am a Glock person. I bought a Browning Buckmark. I will not ever consider a G44. My Buckmark shoots everything I put through it. You can buy them new in CA as they are on the roster and most LGS carry them and you will pay far less than you would for a G44, even if you could pay free state prices.Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.
A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.
Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

Unless something's changed, I would not buy a sig mosquito.
I sent mine back to the sig factory twice and it still jammed and was not gtg despite changing ammo and springs and oiling the gun, running it dry, etc.
So the 3rd time that I sent it back to sig they told me they were sending it back to Germany for a frame and slide - I waited 2 or so months and when I got it back it was still a jam o matic - so I put it away to give to the lady to practice clearing jams and frf issues
Buy a Ruger mk 3 or whatever the name those tend to workVida Loca Homes
