Apex LCI Block needed for threaded barrel for M&P Shield?

Thankfully, I left California recently but I bought my shield from CA and it has the LCI of course.

Ordered a threaded barrel for it, and it won't fit because of the LCI. Would I be able to fit the barrel if I get an Apex No Profile LCI block?

    Remove the LCI

Threaded Barrel for M&P Shield Question LCI Block

I made another thread in another part of the forum, but more people are in this one. So, I'll delete that one... (looks like I can't delete the other one)

I left California recently but I bought my shield from CA and it has the LCI of course.

Ordered a threaded barrel for it, and it won't fit because of the LCI. Would I be able to fit the barrel if I get an Apex No Profile LCI block?

Can I just remove the block and leave it empty?

That what people with a SIG M17/M18 do. The military wanted the LCI, so all of them have it. I think SIG finally made a threaded barrel with an LCI in it, or filled the empty space. But most people just toss the LCI and don't worry about the gap.

Think it was covered before for changing from .40/9mm
So if you had 9mm and purchased 9mm, no CLI than the fix is the same.

Is the LCI a legal requirement to have in California? What if I just got a new slide with no LCI, especially if its cut for optics?

It's required for new guns purchased from FFLs. An incremental part of the ROSTER crap.

ETA ..... OK legally to remove after purchase.

Only to to sell must it have these requirements. But once it's yours, you could do "what you want."
