    Other similarities:

One day you can't miss and the next, you can't hit the side of a barn.
You can always blame something other than operator error.
You always lament over the one bad shot rather than feeling good about all of the good shots.
Anyone and everyone is always willing to give you unsolicited advice.
Shooters and golfers constantly try to tweak things to shoot a little better.

For both golf and shooting, you can be fat and skillful and be considered a pro athlete.

I've always wanted to mix the two. Use a little mortar to launch the golf ball. I just can't find a golf course that will let me do that.

Ha! I played in a charity tournament once that had one. It was handheld and shot from the hip. We hit the green easily at 350 yards. But they had to dial the charge back to do so. Otherwise it was blowing the balls about 50 yards too far.

Willie Nelson had a rule at his private course. Everyone was allowed to use their shotgun to try and shoot your ball out of the air.

Bob Toski described golf as “A non violent sport played violently from within”. I consider golf to be witchcraft. Not sure either description applies to shooting.

Well, on a public golf course, I've seen people curse, scream, yell... waving with a club in their hands after making a bad shot. Try doing that with a gun in your hand out in public.

Darts should be listed as similar to shooting as well. And it’s nowhere near as expensive.

You can be fat and out of shape to do either, and it probably won't affect your performance much.

You can wear clothes doing either which make you look stupid, while thinking and claiming you're awesome at it. (Doesn't apply to everybody, obviously, don't get your panties in a twist.)

So you’re advocating for shooting in the nude?

Anyone play golf using the AR golf ball launcher attachment?

depends... though for me, golf is cheaper unless i lose a doz golf balls. i compare it to trap shooting where 2 rounds of trap cost me $50 and that's 30 mins at most. $50 can be 4-5 hours for me of golfing (mostly waiting) but per hour, golf is cheaper these days.
