    Feel safer for 2022

    Joking

What a joke; I thought this issue was dead to the gun world? I guess that was wishful thinking on my part
    1. Compared to what?
    2. At what cost?
    3. What hard evidence do you have?

Lemme open an app on my phone so I can defend myself… makes total sense!

"The fingerprint reader unlocks the gun in microseconds, but since it may not work when wet or in other adverse conditions, the PIN pad is there as a backup..."

Yeah, I'm all over this. Looks so reliable and foolproof! Ha, ha. Surprising the one company is in Boise too, boys out there know their guns and would likely laugh at this "innovation". Yeesh, electronics inside the gun or as a functioning part of the gun is simply a bad idea. A gun is a mechanical, not a computing or electromechanical device, that's what intrinsically has made it a success story for a few centuries. If someone could invent a purely mechanical device for the same function that didn't impede reliability AT ALL, then they might have something. I, along with the vast majority of shooters will never purchase a firearm that utilizes integrated electronics.

We need a few serious Supreme Court decisions concerning infringement. This crap along with several other issues ( AW. carry rights, mag cap. ) to name a few will just keep coming at us over and over.

Sadly, it's the people who want to get rid of guns that are pushing this kind of technology. That means there's a whole lot of vested interest to make it very hard to own a firearm. And let's be honest, there's also plenty of gun owners who welcome this nonsense.

And what the heck is SmartGunz? Did a 10-year old start this company?

All about making guns less attractive (more dollars / less fun) to own. The fewer gun owners the more votes anti gun zealots get.

This doesn't surprise me at all, IMO all this nonsense is dollars wasted, if they're worried about people that aren't authorized firing the guns of responsible gun owners, then that makes no sense. Why? because responsible gun owners know to keep their guns tucked in a safe, ideally out of sight, they make up all these laws and then contradict themselves, one minute it's this and then another that.

These smart guns should be issued immediately to the Secret Service and Capitol Police so they have the very latest and greatest technology to protect our beloved overlords.

This would redefine the level of meaning to the dreaded,

Who knows, maybe in a few years "real" guns, especially non Cal, non safety, non LCI, will become cherished collector items.
