Going Shooting Near Henderson

Hello Everyone,

Hope you and yours are having a relaxing weekend.

I am heading out to Henderson for a few days and planning to take family out to a local range. Unfortunately, Clark County Shooting Complex is closed both days that I will be there, so I was debating going to Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club. I'd like to introduce them to a couple of bolt actions and figure this might be the best next option.

I was hoping to ask if any of you had an feedback on this range.

Back up plan is to go to the Green Valley Range and just stick with handguns.

I always shoot at "The Apex" off the 15 near Sloan. It's BLM land and that's where my friends that live there like to go.

We always go to Boulder R&P. Good place basically private bays all the time.

First day was spent at Green Valley Indoor getting the family accustomed to firearms. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Felt so strange not having to worry about what kind of ammo was allowed, and no one batting eye while someone rapid fired (and more than 10 rounds!).

The second day was at Boulder Rifle and Pistol. Kind of reminded me of the SLOSA range in terms of how low tech it is. I loved our 50-yard private bay and the view of the mountains was stunning.

You might want to visit the Clark county Shooting Range on your next trip. Everyone is helpful, friendly and fun ! We met many former Californian's on different visits.

I am bummed about not being able to visit the Clark County range this time. But I had such a good time at the other ranges and got over my "carrying firearms across state lines" jitters, so I am looking forward to visiting again.
