Well I'll go 1st.
I watched the entire video. I liked it. Your voice was clear and easy to understand / listen to. Camera work / presentation was good. Views of the holster / mag holder were excellent.
The length of the vid was a touch long IMHO. What you wanted to say and show, could have been accomplished in about 5 minutes.
A important question I have about the holster, was not addressed in the vid. Retention of the weapon.
Leather holsters sooner or later start to "loosin up" and do not retain the firearm as good as when they were new. I noticed the mag holder had a retention screw in it but the firearm hostler did not.
How tight did the holster retain the firearm? Could you hold the holster upside down and shake it without the firearm falling out? How easy was one hand re-holstering? Were you able to find the holster with the muzzle and re-holster safely?
And finally, at 3:11, you turn and face the camera and speak. While doing so, you hold your firearm (which is an excellent choice BTW) in your right hand. As you speak, you repeatedly move your hand / firearm muzzle in the direction of the viewer (me). I can clearly see, the slide is back, action open and mag well is empty. But.....Still I would have preferred, you had holstered the firearm and then spoke.
Again, I liked the vid. Good job. I give it a solid "B" rating.Last edited by Mr. Beretta; 12-19-2021, 4:01 PM. -
To address your safety/etiquette concern with how I held the firearm slide locked back, no mag in gun. And spoke. I have to admit, I agree with you. I try to be as safe as possible, and I’ll admit, I should have holstered the weapon.Well I'll go 1st.

The video is a bit long, I agree. I had a lot of fun making the video tho. I think a lot of the pictures were great. I literally lost a subscriber after I posted the video. Lol. So I’m not so worried about me making it big as a youtuber. I honestly believe with enough hard work and dedication, I could make that A video each week. But I’ve got to find my rhythm and recipe. If you haven’t ever made youtube videos, they aren’t easy. At least for me.
Also, retention: extremely tight. When I first got it, it felt too tight, I couldn’t get the gun in without ballistol. I mentioned in the video that I left mags and gun in holster and mag pouch for one week prior to range. The reason for doing this is because it felt too tight to begin with. I have held the gun in holster upside down, shake, no drop. The force needed to shake hammer a nail shake, then it will drop out. However, this is not a true test as the belt is not being retained via belt against the body. Force needed to draw/holster will inevitably change. So if you’ve got one of those sweet trampoline harnesses we can test this bad boy out and re-do the video
thanks again for commenting and sharing your thoughts.

Personally I'd like to see it after a 3 to 5 day class
Get some miles on it
Sweat in it
It's too new to know much about how it will perform after 1,000 draw strokes
Vs a galco holster.Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Well done. Good video and I don't want to discourage you in any way, but...
In the video you say that they are not paying you in any way, however, did you get to keep the holster? Did you pay for the holster?"In no way are they paying me to make a positive review, nor are they providing any type of commission via affiliate link."
If you got a "free" holster, that could be considered "payment".
Otherwise a good production, but expect viewers to "nit-pic" and micro-manage. (much the way I did here)

New, it was pretty tight as I remember. I wrapped my 1911 in a plastic bag and lit it sit for a while. In fact it probably didn't break in until it had a thousand draws.....Comment

Looks like a nice holster and it was a fun video review to watch OP. As far as my favorite leather holsters? Alfonso used to make most of the Hollywood holsters for a period of time, he's passed on but you can still get some of his holsters NOS but they'll run you about double what that one costs.
I've ordered a couple 1791 holsters from Amazon, they are incredibly well made for the price, almost too much IMO and so I returned them. I wanted to like them but they were so thick they added bulk.Buy made in USA whenever possible.Comment
