Fortis 300blk muzzle

Sorry for the dumb question but more for confirmation. I ordered the 300blk out muzzle on fortis thinking it was for my .308 barrel as it was under that category. Long story short will it work? Threads are the same. Rather save me the time of returning.

A muzzle? I think you need to look up what a muzzle is.

If you're referring to a muzzle brake or other muzzle device, are you asking if a 300 BLK (a 30 cal cartridge) has the same diameter as .308 (a 30 caliber cartridge) ?

Then yes, as long as the thread pattern for the muzzle is correct, 300 BLK and 308 have the same diameter projectile and the muzzle device can be used interchangeably.

I think it's an overkill. I use it on my lr308 and it pushes the barrel down almost. For Blackout I just used to run the birdcage. The brake is also very long as compared to a birdcage or just a thread protector.
