Just to add a data point for you. I swapped WASR and Romanian G (parts kit gun) bolts after checking head space on them. 100% function. Went bang! Not boom. No noticeable differences.

My caveat is to check head space first and then play ball!

I'm not saying all brands will swap. Just the 2 type I noted. Test, test and test some more.

that was informative ive thrown so many together that just work ive been lucky i guess

i wonder if they got a bunch of undersized reject bolts and hoped the TiN coating would add dimension

i would use that carrier with a normal mpi tested bolt in my gun i love his extractor spring test i too have a feel its like i know a bolt is probably bad if i can move the extractor a certain way

its kind of a good rule if you got a cheap spring its a cheap bolt if "they" ever wise up and use a slightly stronger spring half my expertise will go out the window
