What do you use a CZ Parrot for?

It looks cool, like an old school racegun. But for $3400 I'd want to get more use out of it than just plinking. It's 9mm - can that be used in USPSA Major and be somewhat competitive?

I don't even know what current raceguns look like, other than Max Michel's SIG P320 with the optic on the slide. He might only be using that for the sponsorship. So, would this be even a little competitive in the current Open environment?

Perch it on your shoulder during all your swashbuckling adventures. Could come in handy to repel borders, or a shot off the bow, perhaps.

In CA you have to permanently attach the brake/bushing, which means you cannot remove the barrel from the slide for cleaning.

Not worth it here considering you have to hack it and pay 2x or 3x in the first place. That's why I don't have one.

Oh, I think it's worth the price. I was fairly active in USPSA way back when. Guns like this brought more money than this even back in the 90's.

I was just asking if it's obsolete in this day and age.

The gun store where I bought my CZ Shadow 2 SA had three of them, 4-5 months ago. They were in stock for several months. No interest at all in Polly. I'm waiting for the newbies to show up in America. I want the green one.

Now just paint your nails to match and you can hold your own little pride parade at the range.

Its a race gun like you said. A lot of full on race guns I see in comp are gussied up like race cars. Raw finishes look like home builts.

Not my preference in colors. That will get sent to get anodized asap.

I’d keep the red fasteners, change the grips to black Loks, charging handle anoodized red, optics mount and mag well annodized black.

Add a red grip screw and call it done.

It's a valid race gun. CZ/Tanfoglio are quite popular, especially outside the USA. I believe J. J. Racaza and Ben Stoeger both shoot variants.

The problem with the platform in the US is the lack of parts, distributors and gunsmiths. That's why 2011 rules.

                              Good for collecting.

                              I can't afford collecting cars.
