80% AK (not flats)
Is there such thing as a milled AK 80%? As in, not bending flats.

I haven't seen any milled AK recievers sold in 80% form, but I don't see why it couldn't be done like 80% AR receviers are.Jack

Not entirely true. There's a company that has been selling bent steel "80%" receivers with absolutely zero openings cut for quite some time. They seem like 1000 times more work, and don't know why you'd go that route, but they do exist.

Cold Steel Solutions sells prebent blanks, you have to mill the trigger,magwell, top rails, and drill all the holes. It's alot more work than flat bending but sometimes they are a good option, such as when building a fixed stock Yugo or a PSL since no flats are available for eitherComment

And a spot welder... I've actually built one with prebent from redhotgundeals. If you're patient, then it can work out fine. In my case holes were slightly off, so I had to grind the hammer a bit to make the bolt carrier slide properly. Also front trunnion work requires press anyway...
