There are no CA laws/regulations that restricts a firearm from having a bayonet lug or bayonet installed on it.

It is 100% CA legal for any type of firearm to have a bayonet lug or bayonet installed on it.

CA's AWB laws don't consider a bayonet lug to be a ban-able "military style feature".

That was utilized in the federal ban and is currently still considered a ban-able feature in the state AWB's for Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

One theory on why democrat's opposed rifles with a bayonet lug was;
if a USA government merges with a foreign or foreign nations and some object to losing sovereignty. They might pick up arms to stop this transfer of power and if the rifle is a military type. The combatants must be treated as soldiers, governed by the Geneva Converntion.
If it is a sporting rifle, these same people will be labeled terrorist's and treated accordingly .
