Burst fire? Wonder where I can get one of those -
Non expected burst can also cause out of battery rounds to fire
Then gun is possibly wreckedRule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

To be expected from the Colt CR series. They shouldn't even be called Colt anymore.Comment

If the bolt is not rotated into lockup, the carrier has to be further back relative to the bolt, than when the bolt is locked. As such, the firing pin is too short to reach the primer in the event of premature hammer release. This is no accident. It is intelligent design.
Now, jolting the hammer off the sear and the hammer hitting the firing pin after the bolt is locked is no picnic either: If it can double, it may runaway and empty the mag before you get off the trigger.
If you want to see the effect of an out of battery kaboom in the AR-15, leave out the cam pin: Then the bolt does not rotate into lockup, despite the carrier being all the way forwards. Dropping the hammer on that turns the receiver into rather lumpy confetti. Awareness of this little mistake with huge consequences should be impressed on all AR owners.Comment

So is this a simple fix with a new FCG?"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
