Bulged trunnion AK flats

I'm just curious: how the heck do you bend those AK receiver flats with bulged trunnions?

Tapco's Yugo flats got bad reviews on Gunco. The streching and the axis pin locations prevented the gun from firing consistantly. The coldsteel (80%) and NDS are better options.

Just a suggestion not to bend your own flats, since they might not be protected under current case law. Go for a DCI - mine works great.

I recall someone making a jig for the bluged trunion flats, dont recall who/where.

Stretching probably resulted from improper heat treating...

IIRC, the streching was not from not heat treating, it happened during the bending process. The axis pin holes are off, I know that. I think the manufacturer did not take into account the .5 extra width of the metal when drilling.
