    Old Rifles Left....??

What is the deal with old rifles that don't have paper work that can be found. I have a Rossi 22lr pump action and a Sears Model 22lr from an old roomate that just dissapeared. I doubt he will be back and there was no paperwork found on the rifles. ANyone know what my options are in this situation?

Try contacting your old roommate and let him know you have his rifles. If you can't contact him I imagine it's okay to hold on to them until you can.

I would caution against trying to sell someone else's firearms without exclusive permission. But as far as I know, you don't need to prove ownership to sell a rifle. There are a lot of firearms out there that have never been Dros'd.

Past a certain amount of time, any property that was left at a prior apartment becomes "abandoned property".

If you haven't seen it with your own eyes,
or heard it with your own ears,
don't make it up with your small mind,
or spread it with your big mouth.

Just hold them for him, indefinitely.

"But, I left you those two rifles dude!"
