Your local FFL will enter into the DROS system an item that is on the list in the drop-down menu, so the answer is really completely up to your local FFL. If they enter that the gun is "FN Five-seveN...." you'll receive it. If they tell you it's not on the roster, you won't.

Different FFLs look at this differently and it's a can of worms. DOJ has been adding some additional "guidance" to the list of approved guns for years. That's how we have special serial numbers for S&W revolvers and no Glocks past gen 3. But it's up to the FFL to handle the transaction and let you know whether your gun is or isn't eligible.

The model for sale in CA is the Mk2. The Mk2 is the standard Fn 5.7 model now. They (Fn) don't even refer to it as Mk2. Many CA dealers stock the Mk2 for sale to CA buyers.

This explains everything. Thank you very much!

Those people have little idea what they are doing when it comes to CA. I am sure that does not come as a surprise to you or anyone else here. They also probably don't know much about Fn, or the history of Fn roster listings.

If you have an example of such a website, please share a link.

The roster used to list the IOM and USG along with the Five-seveN (Mk2) listing. They dropped off IOM and USG because Fn does not make them anymore.

            FN 5.7 I.O.M. (Matte Black) / Steel, Polymer Pistol 4.75" 5.7x28mm 1/1/2018
            FN 5.7 U.S.G. (Matte Black) / Steel, Polymer Pistol 4.75" 5.7x28mm 1/1/2018
            FN Five-seveN (Black) / Steel; Polymer Pistol 4.75" 5.7x28mm 1/1/2018
            FN Five-seveN (Flat Dark Earth) / Steel; Polymer Pistol 4.75" 5.7x28mm 1/1/2018
You can find those dropped listings here

The "Five-seveN" is the Mk2. IIRC, Fn did not start marking the gun that way until Mk2.
