My uncle just passed away and he use to have a pistol and it is missing along with other items. I wanted to know how I can find out if he sold it before he died or if is still in his name? Does anyone know what to do?

What does the rest of the Family know? You may be SOOL.Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.
Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.

The rest of the family doent know what he did with the pistol. I have the dealers record of sale of firearm though. I dont know if it makes a difference.Comment

The dealer record of sale would help as it has the serial number, description, and date he purchased.
If it was me I'd call DOJ with the DROS in hand and ask if they can tell you. Be sure to mention that you want to account for the weapon to be sure it doesn't get left on the property. Was he the only person living at the house? If his wife is still alive then it might be best that she make the call with your help.sigpicNRA LIFE MEMBERComment
