Gun safe group buy ?

Has anyone heard anything about a group buy for gun safes this upcoming holiday season? Would anyone be interested? Don't know the first thing about setting one up but I'm in if one can be put together

It's been done several times over the years, mostly with Sturdy safes.

The key is trust. To get that trust, don't touch the money and don't get addresses - cities are fine.

Search and you can find folks who have done this before and can guide you.

Also, don't run a group buy without taking deposits.
Group buys with no obligation to actually buy are usually a big mess because most of the people who state "I am in" don't actually go through with the purchase when money is required.
Then the seller backs out at the end when the volume of sales is not what the group buy organizer was promising to be able to get the better price based on his assumption that the "I am in" people would actually BE IN to purchase.

By collecting significant deposits of 25-50%, you eliminate the tire kickers who were not actually going to actually be part of the "buy".

This gets you a much more realistic sales volume number to be able to approach a dealer to negotiate a volume purchase.
