    Basic Handgun Training in SoCal?

Any opinions on recommended instructors or courses for introductory handgun classes in the LA/OC area?

    TIA

I have no reservations recommending Greg Block's classes for basic firearms training. Well worth the $ (and reasonably priced at that) for getting a handle on the basics.

Develop your skills with handguns, rifles and shotguns, from basic to advanced in Southern California. Highly credentialed instructor Greg Block emphasizes civilian self-defense situations. Be Safe, Be Confident, Get Trained!

          I recommend Firearms Training Associates.

One of the things I like about FTA is once you've taken their General Handgun class you can come out for their End of the Month club on the last Sat. of every month. For a moderate fee you get 2-3 hours of drills including rapid fire from a holster, failure drills, malfunction drills, etc. There are usually 2-3 instructors there. Great way to maintain your skills.

bear308 runs a great entry level class at the firing line in burbank.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

Greg Block. I have taken 4 classes with him. They are so good, I am planning to repeat his intermediate class!
