    Unsafe handling by Turner's employee

    Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share what I saw at the Kearny Mesa Turner's on a recent trip to that store. Just like the title says, saw a employee handle a firearm that made me wanna yank him out back and teach him a few lessons on what and what not to do while handling a firearm.

I was in there just this past Monday at around 2:30ish as it was my day off and I hadn't been in this store in a few months and thought I'd just drop in to see what the stock was like. I'll say there was plenty stock which I thought was good as its showing we may be possibly getting back to normal in regards to firearm availability in today's time.

I saw a customer wearing a black shirt inquiring about a used firearm, a Sig Sauer P220 Equinox in .45acp and it was a consignment gun. I know this as I saw it in the display case as well. The customer asked to see a couple of those used pistols including a revolver.

As I stood back and watched the customer check out the firearms, he wanted to see the Sig which by the way is a really beautiful pistol. So the employee grabs the Sig and as he's holding it, turns towards the window facing out towards the parking lot, he brings the Sig down towards his waist and kinda towards his back pocket...and then rams the Sig in a downward motion in an attempt to rack the slide as if trying to be cool and show off. I don't remember what that motion or technique is called but by God did he do it in a incredibly unsafe manner.

I saw that and was horrified that the employee not only do that in front of a customer including me as well, but he did it to a firearm that essentially does not belong to him or the store. I saw that and was just like...wow.

I turned around and walked out. I didn't want to be anywhere near crap like that and certainly do not have any respect for anyone who can't handle a firearm in a safe manner especially if you're the one trying to sell it.

I tried numerous times in reporting and notifying their corporate office but no one has returned my calls.

Yes, please be courteous and advise, before I go off and waste my time and ingenuity in creating a parody thread of this one.

The turner's employees don't bother me but the constant muzzle sweeps by the customer handling the firearm does

It's like going to a plumbers' convention and complaining that people show too much cleavage. And not the good kind cleavage...

The OP and a few of the other posters must be really special, talented operators to allegedly be subject to the behaviors described and to live about it and be able to rant about it on Calguns.

I call fake on this one. I mean come on, the OP included sales blog terminology and meaningless details....I am surprised the OP did not describe what (s)he were wearing that day (e.g., 511 tacticool) and what (s)he had for lunch.

Folks, if you don't like Turners, don't go. Easy peasy.

Turners stays in business because of good stock, good prices, good service, and lots of repeat customers. And great support for the industry. Did anyone else see them at the Route 66 Sports Shooting Park Open House this weekend?

My only possible "beef" with Turners is the patience they show with lookyloos who want to touch everything and loudly expouse their "knowledge of guns", yet don't have the cash or credit card capacity to buy anything. I suppose years ago that could have been me, so I just go to Turners during the times the kids are in school.
